2012-2013 Season

Registration for Marcato has officially begun which kicks off another season for Morgan Valley Voices! However, there are some changes this season. Since having a baby in September, and beginning the winter season later, I am not having a separate winter & spring season. So, when you sign your singer up for Marcato right now, you will not need to re-register them for another season at the beginning of the year.

The biggest change that is happening this season is that I will not be holding any group classes during the remainder of this year or during the Spring of next year. The main reason behind this is because I want to keep as much sickness out of my home while I have a newborn. (Also, I'm not sure that my "new mom brain" can handle much more than what I am currently doing.) I apologize to those who have been looking forward to signing your kids up for group classes. I hope you can forgive me! I wish I could handle more, but I have to be realistic in my planning.

Our concert on May 3 was a huge success! Thanks to all those involved, especially all the parents who made sure their singers were on time and ready! It has been a great year with lots of growing, but even more fun!!

Once my baby comes in September and things have settled down a bit, I will get information out about the choir and classes for next season. Concert Follow-up: NEW DATE

Just wanted to let you know that I have just discovered that the High School Musical opens on the night I was hoping to have our concert. I will be looking into other dates for our concert since this is a conflict that effects several of you, including our accompanist! At the moment I am hoping to push it back 2 weeks and have it on May 3. However, I need to check with Karen at the Elementary School before I can do anything. Please let me know if any of you have major conflicts with this date as well as May 1 from 4-5 which would be our dress rehearsal.

Here We Go Again!

Our first Marcato Children's Choir rehearsal of the Spring season will be tomorrow, January 3, from 4-5 pm at the Middle School. I'm looking forward to working with your children again! It will be a really fun season with a lot of great music. Please tell your friends to sign their kids up (and have your kids tell their friends to join us!).

Vivo and Vivace classes will begin on Monday, January 9. There is still room in both classes if you would still like to register your child.
