Vivo & Vivace Classes Canceled

Classes for the winter season of Vivo and Vivace have been canceled due to lack of interest. However, if anyone still has interest in signing their child up for Maestro, please contact me soon and we will get them registered. Also, registration for Marcato will remain open for a couple more weeks.

I am planning to reopen registration for Vivo & Vivace in January, so if you have a child or know of someone who would be interested in either of these classes, send me a message or comment here and I'll be sure to add you to my contact list.

Registration Clarification

It occurred to me that some of you may have children involved in mini-cheer camp or something else that may keep them from choir or classes this week, but would be able to attend next week and going forward. That is fine! Please let me know if that is your situation and get your registration form to me as soon as you can so I can save a spot for your child.

Also, I mentioned that registration will close this Friday. That deadline is only for group classes. Marcato registration will remain open for a few more weeks.

Hopefully that clears up a few questions. I'm looking forward to getting things started today and tomorrow!

Choir and Classes Start This Week

Hello friends of Morgan Valley Voices!!

 

Children's choir and group classes begin this week, and I'm really excited to see all of those budding musicians! However, as of today I have not received any registration forms for any of the classes or choir. I know many are planning to bring their form with them to the first choir rehearsal or class, which is fine, especially for Marcato Children's Choir members. But in order to prepare for the group classes on Wednesday, it would be very helpful to know how many to plan on. I am planning to hold all of my classes on Wednesday regardless of how many students are in them. However, the cut off for registration FOR GROUP CLASSES ONLY will be on Friday, September 20, and if I don't have at least 6 students enrolled in a class, that class will be canceled. So, tell your friends and let's get all of our classes filled!!

It's Time to REGISTER!!

Registration is now open for the 2013-2014 Season of Morgan Valley Voices!! And there's even more good news . . . . group classes are back! In fact, we are happy to expand our program to include a new group class--Maestro!! This group class will supplement Marcato Children's Choir and help its members expand their musicianship. So, Morgan Valley Voices now includes Marcato Children's Choir for grades 3-6, Maestro group class for grades 3-6, Vivace group class for grades 1-2, and Vivo for grades Pre-K & K. (Members of Vivo must be at least 4 years old.)

Marcato Children's Choir will be held weekly on Tuesdays and Group Classes will be on Wednesdays. Marcato's first rehearsal will be on September 17 and Group Classes will begin on September 18. Please see the registration packet for more information about Marcato Children's Choir as well as all of the group classes.

To find the registration packet, click on the REGISTER tab near the top of the screen. In order to register for classes, please print and fill out the 2nd page ("Registration Form" page) and keep the remaining pages for your information. Then mail or hand deliver the form along with any applicable fee to:

2013-2014 Season

Preparations for the 2013-2014 season of Morgan Valley Voices are well underway! Some final details are still being determined, but once everything is decided, registration will begin (hopefully within the next week). I can say that I will be holding both Marcato Children's Choir as well as the Group Classes. One exciting change to Morgan Valley Voices is the addition of a third group class. Vivo and Vivace will both be held this year as well as a new class--Maestro--which will be a supplement class for members of Marcato Children's Choir and will explore more advanced musical concepts. All group classes will be held on Wednesdays!

So, please watch your email for additional information as well as registration forms for the 2013-2014 season. It's going to be a great year! 2012-2013 Season

Registration for Marcato has officially begun which kicks off another season for Morgan Valley Voices! However, there are some changes this season. Since having a baby in September, and beginning the winter season later, I am not having a separate winter & spring season. So, when you sign your singer up for Marcato right now, you will not need to re-register them for another season at the beginning of the year.

The biggest change that is happening this season is that I will not be holding any group classes during the remainder of this year or during the Spring of next year. The main reason behind this is because I want to keep as much sickness out of my home while I have a newborn. (Also, I'm not sure that my "new mom brain" can handle much more than what I am currently doing.) I apologize to those who have been looking forward to signing your kids up for group classes. I hope you can forgive me! I wish I could handle more, but I have to be realistic in my planning.

Our concert on May 3 was a huge success! Thanks to all those involved, especially all the parents who made sure their singers were on time and ready! It has been a great year with lots of growing, but even more fun!!

Once my baby comes in September and things have settled down a bit, I will get information out about the choir and classes for next season.
