Registration forms

If you planning to sign your child up for one of my music classes or for the children's choir, but haven't sent me your registration form, if you will please leave me a comment here or on my facebook page (Morgan Valley Voices) which class & time you are planning to register them for. Then if you could get me your forms by Friday, I would really appreciate it! I am NOT closing registration, I'm just trying to get materials ready during Labor Day weekend. Thanks!

Clarification

There has been some confusion with the prices for the Vivo and Vivace classes. Just to clarify, there are no additional monthly charges for the Vivo and Vivace classes. The only fee is the initial fee paid at the time of registration.

Accompanist Needed

MVV is seeking an accompanist to play for Marcato Children's Choir. Rehearsals are held weekly on Tuesdays at 4-5 pm. Please contact Heidi Farmer by phone (801-820-3000) or by email (morganvalleyvoices@gmail.com) to discuss details and compensation.

Introducing Morgan Valley Voices

Morgan Valley Voices is a non-profit music organization that teaches children of all ages to use the one instrument they always have with them -their voice. Using the methods of Zoltán Kodály, singers ages five and up are taught music theory and principles through games and songs.

The young musicians are divided into seven different musical grades and go through a progressive program each year learning new skills that build upon each other. We do not simply teach children how to sing a song. We teach them the foundational skills needed to create music. With those skills, they can learn to sing just about anything. Those same skills will also help them with any other type of instrument or musical program they wish to pursue.

We meet weekly through our winter and spring season, generally beginning our winter season around the start of the Morgan County School District school year, ending the first part of December. Our spring season begins in January and ends in April or May.

At the end of each season we either have a concert or a show case for all of the ensembles to show what they have learned during the season. Each group showcases the music and/or concepts they have learned throughout the season. The Children's Choir concert is always free and open to the public. Due to limited amount of space, the showcases are only for families of students in the group classes.

The classes are so engaging, that often the children are having so much fun they don’t realize they are actually learning.
